Hello, everyone, I've stepped into the future and I'm ready to blog. It's exciting to have another avenue to connect with folks and this should be a lot of fun.
Fresh back from the Colorado Press Association Awards banquet where our papers earned a hefty stash of hardware (19 award to be exact). It was a fun night. I know of few journalists who get into this business for the recognition (probably as many who get into it to make lots of money). But the chance to have our work recognized is rewarding. I think it speaks to the dedicated staff members we have here. And its not just our editorial staff either. Hats off to our production staff that makes us look good.
In 2005, we earned 14 awards and 19 for 2006, what will 2007 bring. We'll just have to see.
